Exporting Mails from the Mentana Gateway

This guide shows you how to export your received messages from our Mentana Outlook Add-In.

To export emails from the Mentana Outlook Add-In, the menu item 'Settings' must first be made visible in the Mentana Add In under Configuration.

With a special registry entry, the "Settings" page in the configuration window of the Mentana Outlook Add-In can be shown or hidden.

How to activate the page:

1. Close Outlook completely.

2. Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

3. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mentana\Mentana Outlook Add-In

4. Navigate to Software->Mentana Outlook Add-In

5. Click once on the folder and check if the entry show_configspecial is present. The list is alphabetically ordered, and the entry is further down.

⚠ Attention: If you cannot find the entry, right-click on an empty space in the right pane and select New > String Value (REG_SZ). Enter show_configspecial as the name

6. Double-click on the entry show_configspecial and enter True as the value.

7. Close the Registry Editor.

8. Restart Outlook.

Tip: To hide the settings again, change the value back to False or delete the entry show_configspecial

Result: The "Settings" page is displayed in the configuration window of the Add-In, and you can now make the 'Export' button visible. To do this, check the box for Export and click on 'Save'.

To export a message, select it in the mailbox, click on the button in the Mentana Outlook Add-In, and select the storage location.
