Exporting Mails from the Mentana Gateway

This guide shows you how to export your received messages from our Mentana Outlook Add-In.

To export mails from the Mentana Outlook Add-In, the 'Settings' menu item must first be made visible under Configuration in the Mentana Add-In.

With a special Registry entry, the "Settings" page in the configuration window of the Mentana Outlook Add-In can be shown or hidden.

How to activate the page:

1. Close Outlook completely.

2. Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

3. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mentana\Mentana Outlook Add-In

4. Navigate to Software->Mentana Outlook Add-In

5. Click once on the folder and check if the entry show_configspecialis present. The list is sorted alphabetically, and the entry is further down.

⚠ Attention: If you cannot find the entry, right-click on an empty space in the right pane and select New > String Value (REG_SZ). Enter show_configspecial as the name.

6. Double-click the entry show_configspecial and enter True as the value.

7. Close the Registry Editor.

8. Restart Outlook.

Tip: To hide the settings again, change the value back to False or delete the entry show_configspecial.

Result: The "Settings" page will be displayed in the add-in's configuration window, and you can now make the 'Export' button visible. To do this, check the box for Export and click on 'Save'.

To export a message, select it in the mailbox, click the button in the Mentana Outlook Add-In, and choose the save location.
